VTM GROUP produces two models of machines for balancing wheel sets of commercial rolling stock: 9717K and 9718K. Load capacity, kg: 100-1500 and 300-3000 (4000 *), respectively. 9717K is aimed at wheel sets of passenger cars. 9718K is designed for traction wheels, but can also be used for wagon wheels. The machine has a high accuracy of determining rotor unbalance (0.5 kg∙cm). The main characteristics of this series of machines:

  1. The balancing system provides measurement of the balance in a polar coordinate system in two planes, indicating the magnitude and angle of the balance relative to the axis passing through the geometric centers of rotation of the wheel and relative to the axis of rotation of the wheel group. axle bearings.
  2. The PAK-GD balancing system is calibrated using the "three-run" method, the advantage of which is that the equipment always has high sensitivity, since the machine calibration process is performed each time it is adjusted to a new rotor.
  3. Information processing and output is carried out in "real-time" mode, which allows for monitoring of imbalanced behavior and improving information analysis.
  4. For ease of control of the balancing system, the equipment is equipped with an industrial computer with a touch screen running the Windows 7 operating system.
  5. The machine's balancing system allows you to work with two correction planes at the same time, which significantly reduces balancing time.
  6. The program interface has many tips to help you quickly master the controls.
  7. Diagrams were used to simplify information analysis when designing the interface.
  8. The lever design of the movable suspension of the supports allows to achieve high accuracy of the machines at speeds of 200 ... 400 rpm and allows the operator to visually analyze the residual degree of unbalance.
  9. The machines are equipped with "jacks" that allow you to achieve quick, impact-free installation of the rotor, which allows you to save on the support necks of the wheel group and the support rollers of the machine.
  10. Quick installation of the rotor, as well as automatic centering of the wheel set, is achieved through the use of handles in the design of the jacks.
  11. Special additional equipment can be installed on the machine to balance the wheel sets with the gearbox (controlled from the middle of the axle) without dismantling the gearbox.
  12. The special design of the "support rollers" and the use of high-quality high-precision bearings, as well as special technology for the production of rollers, allow achieving high accuracy.
  13. The “roller block” has a “self-aligning” function, which eliminates the need for adjustment, which reduces installation time, and also eliminates the possibility of “twisting” in the rotor bearing journals.
  14. The width of the support rollers also prevents the formation of "knurling" on the rotor's contact surface.
  15. To eliminate imbalance, the machine can be equipped with additional milling devices.
  16. The equipment is equipped with an "axial drive", the feature of which is that it is capable of transmitting a large torque, which allows you to quickly accelerate and stop the wheel group, which reduces the balance rotation. The presence of a full-fledged spindle with a quill increases the productivity and reliability of the machine.
  17. The electric motor has a power reserve, which allows you to reduce the acceleration and deceleration time of the rotor, as well as increase its resource.
  18. The electric drive design has a frequency converter, which protects electrical equipment and allows smooth acceleration and deceleration of the electric motor and stepless regulation of the rotor speed.
  19. Rolling stock wheel pair balancing machines have high reliability and productivity. This is confirmed by the real operation of such a machine in mass production conditions (INTERPIPE, Dnepropetrovsk PJSC).

Design features

Balancing of pairs is carried out when they are mounted on the rolling bearings of the machine by the inner rings of rolling bearings or the landing necks of rolling bearings. The suspension of the machine has rolling joints, has a low natural resonant frequency, which guarantees high balancing accuracy. The rotation of the wheel group during balancing is carried out by a cardan axial drive. An asynchronous frequency-controlled electric drive allows stepless speed control without stopping the electric motor, selecting optimal modes for balancing. The machines can be equipped with sensors for axial and / or radial flow.

Cylindrical hardened cylindrical roller self-aligning bearings

Self-aligning bearings with cylindrically hardened rollers - low rigidity and large mass, eliminating the possibility of "knurling" marks on the rotor journals. Jacks for smooth installation and removal of the wheel group from the supports protect the machine mechanisms from impacts, creating convenience and safety during operation.
